6 Days to TV Launch: The Euronews – Africanews Partnership
africanews is a sister organization of euronews. Both are proud of their kinship tie. euronews is Europe’s most watched international TV news channel, headquartered in Lyon (France) since its inception in 1993. It employs about 600 journalists – of more than 30 different nationalities – who cover current events around the world in 13 languages 24/7. Some 426 million households in 158 countries receive euronews which, much more than a TV station, is a multi-platform media hub combining radios, websites, applications, digital technologies…. Starting from 20th April, africanews will pursue similar ambitions in and for Africa. From the get-got, thanks to its European partner, our team – 100% African – will benefit from 23 years of professional experience and editorial independence.
